My favorite Sunday fun-day treat is a good bagel lathered with yummy cream cheese.

I love a well-crafted lox bagel, so when creating this recipe, I decided to play around. Whether you are making this for yourself or hosting brunch at your place, this recipe will be sure to make everyone's mouths and tummies happy.

Always remember, you can't buy love, but you can buy or make bagels. Which are basically the same thing.

When I am choosing the salmon for my bagels, I always make sure to check the source. It is important to make sure the fish is harvested sustainably and produced in a healthy way without added coloring or preservatives. Not only is it healthier, but tastes way better! Trust me!

If you are up for it, below this recipe is a link for my post on how to make your own smoked salmon, lox or a vegan lox!

Aldi's has cold smoked salmon from Norway that is sustainably farmed. You can also find sustainable wild caught cold smoked salmon at most grocers and even Costco!

I like to set everything out separately so people can put together their own bagel. Other options I will place out for people are a variety of bagel types, plain cream cheese, capers, thinly sliced onions and tomatoes.

When making the recipe below, you can create one big cream cheese tart for everyone to take a slice of, or make the cream cheese tarts into individual little tarts so each person can take their own.

Grab your apron and get brunching!
