There is sometimes nothing better on a beautiful, warm day than a fresh glass of lemonade. Most lemonades & recipes I come across are so sweet, I almost completely wrote off this refreshing drink in my books. But luckily after playing around, The perfect lemonade was made. When I want the classic taste, I keep it simple. But most times, I will make a tea to add into this wonderful recipe. I find that mint, rose or pitta tea are my favorites. Don't know what pitta tea is? Click here for my favorite type!
When life hands me lemons, I make sure I don't have any paper cuts. Then I thank life and create amazing food. Like lemonade. Everyone needs lemonade now and then.
I will also add some fresh grated ginger, mint leaves, rosemary sprigs, basil leaves or cucumber slices into the pitcher for that extra layer to the flavor and a visual 'wow'.
However you like your lemonade, it all starts with the basics. Use fresh, organic lemons and local (if possible!) honey. It will definitely make the difference!
