Whether you are baking for yourself, a special someone, your family or friends, this tart is an amazing! It can easily be made into a vegan, gluten-free option. At the bottom of the page, I have links to my vegan citrus curd recipes as well as my simple syrup recipe. To make this gluten-free, either swap our your favorite gluten-free flour or use your favorite nuts that are finely ground in a food processor.
If you truly get in touch with a piece of carrot, you get in touch with the soil, the rain, the sunshine. You get in touch with Mother Earth and eating in such a way, you feel in touch with true life, your roots, and that is meditation. If we chew every morsel of our food in that way we become grateful and when you are grateful, you are happy. -Thich Nhat Hanh
I like making a lime simple syrup for this dessert. When I do, I always make extra and store it in the fridge for making cocktails, Italian sodas, using in some recipes or whatever my tummy and mind agree upon!
No matter who you are making this for, grab your apron & love your food.
